Booking accommodation
What does "pppn" mean?
Per person, per night. It is the simplest way to compare options: the price for one person to stay one night. Multiply it by the number of people and nights to see the whole cost. We quote pppn so you can budget before anyone books.
How do you price a stay?
You get a price per person, per night for each option, based on the property, the location, the length of stay and how many people you are sending. The price we quote is the price you pay for what we have described, and we confirm what is included before you commit.
What is usually included?
Furnishings, bills, wifi and kitchen basics are normally included, and many properties include linen and towels. Parking, cleaning and extras vary. Each option comes with a plain list of what is in and what is not.
Can we book weekdays only?
Yes, if the property can accommodate it. Many crews work Monday to Friday and want to avoid paying for empty weekends. Ask for weekdays only in your enquiry and we will look for properties that allow it.
Can we book several locations at once?
Yes. If you have teams on more than one site, send us all the locations in a single enquiry. We can keep one point of contact and one set of terms while placing people close to each site.
Do properties come with parking?
Many do, but not all. Tell us how many vehicles you are bringing and what size they are, and we will only show properties where that works.
How is a hotel different?
A hotel is a room. Our properties are homes: a kitchen, a lounge, space to dry kit and for the team to be together. For a stay of more than a few nights, that usually costs less per person and feels better to live in.
Can we extend or change dates?
Usually, yes. Extensions are normally easier than short-notice replacements, so tell us early if the programme looks like it might move. Terms depend on the property and are confirmed when you book.
Can you invoice the company?
Business accounts can be invoiced. How and when is agreed before the stay, and depends on the size and length of the booking.
What happens if something goes wrong at the property?
Contact us and we will sort it out with the host. Every booking comes with a contact for the stay, so you are not left chasing a stranger.
For hosts
What kind of property can I list?
Houses and flats in good order that can sleep a working team or one or two business guests. Multi-bedroom homes are in particular demand. If you are unsure, send us the details and we will tell you honestly.
Who stays?
Working teams and business guests: contractors, project crews, relocating staff. They tend to book for longer than holidaymakers and in smaller, steadier patterns.
What do you charge hosts?
We agree commercial terms with each host before listing. Ask us for details.
Who sets the price?
You do, with advice from us on what similar properties achieve for working stays.
What standards do you expect?
Clean, safe, legal and well equipped: working heating and hot water, a proper kitchen, comfortable beds, wifi, and the paperwork and safety certificates your property needs. We ask to see them.
